We’ve come to yoga late in life, in our 70’s, still quite healthy but beginning to feel a bit creaky and in need of attention to certain areas of weakness.  Yoga with Rori has proven a great resource.  She has assessed our individual strengths and weaknesses and tailored classes accordingly.  After a weekly workout we emerge less creaky and more energised, and very grateful to have found such a thoughtful, skilled and understanding teacher.”

“Rori or did a great job in assisting me on my road to recovery. Her kind and patient approach made me feel really comfortable and gave me confidence to work with my body again. After several months of terrible lower back pain I’d lost trust in my body and my ability to undertake simple movements. Under the guidance of Rori I was able to slowly build a new relationship with my body allowing me to move pain-free!! Rori not only helped with my physical injuries, she also helped me to implement strategies to regulate my nervous system. Rori’s teachings had such a positive impact on me at a time when I felt so helpless.”

I have enjoyed several one-on-one yoga sessions with Rori over the years and reckon she is absolutely first class and a brilliant yoga instructor. Regretfully my stiff old joints never had a chance of developing the subtlety she was trying to instil and I did not pursue yoga for long, but I can whole heartedly commend her as a very experienced and a delightful yoga expert and teacher. I wish her every success in her new venture. Looking back, I regret not continuing with her teaching as I felt several benefits, psychological and physical..”

“A few years ago, I became convinced, after talking with friends, that yoga would be a good thing to do, for its benefits for both the mind and the body, particularly to maintain flexibility. Because I’m in my 70s I resisted joining a class thinking I couldn’t keep up. Fortunately I met Rori and found that she adapted teaching to meet people’s needs and my age would not be a barrier. Rori organised a weekly class for myself and two friends of a similar age. I have been attending for almost 2 years and have really enjoyed the class, leaving each session calm but more alive in both mind and body. Progress is sometimes challenging but kept within our abilities by Rori’s continue and patient monitoring. I am assure further by Rori’s recent additional training in yoga for people with special needs. ”

Rori delivers a well structured pre-natal yoga class with practical tips and her sessions are the perfect balance and flow of relaxation, mindfulness and activation of muscles and strength. She has a warm, authentic and calming energy that translates into a safe and open environment, which is essential for Mum's to be and was one in which I immediately felt comfortable. The mindful relaxation at the beginning was a beautiful way to connect with our bodies and babies and to celebrate the body’s ability to carry life and also sustain strength both physically and mentally during pregnancy. I was concerned I may struggle to either hold or feel comfortable in some of the poses, Rori gave the perfect consideration of props to assist with stability as needed and also clear scientific research on her behalf as to what poses would best suit a class of pregnant woman at various stages of pregnancy. It was evident that each week I was going to learn from the class and be able to take away and practice those learnings in my own home. Strength and restorative poses, rest, mindfulness and breathing are all things practiced, which are essential to a pregnant and labouring woman. I highly recommend Rori as a Yoga teacher for pregnancy and beyond. ”
